Job Description

Expressions of Interest- Chief Executive Officer, Pathways Victoria Remote Role About Pathways Victoria: Pathways Response Victoria Ltd (Pathways Victoria) has been established by the Bishops of Victoria to offer a pastoral and trauma informed person-centred response to support disclosures of abuse within particular Catholic Institutions of Victoria. Pathways Victoria offers an alternative model to existing mechanisms such as the National Redress Scheme and civil litigation for those who may wish to engage in a pastoral response. Pathways engages with and provides support for those bringing forward allegations of abuse, and seeks resolution of these matters which may include a monetary payment. Pathways conducts investigations that recognise police processes and complies with any requirements set out by the Commissioner for Children and Young people or by Canon Law. Pathways Victoria is a Company Limited by Guarantee, governed by a Board of Directors and accountable to the Members – the four Bishops/Leaders of the Dioceses of Victoria. The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) leads a small yet highly-skilled staff, and is responsible to the Board for the leadership, stewardship, strategic growth and overall management of Pathways Victoria. Key Responsibilities: Upholding the organisation’s reputation, culture, mission, and values Leadership and oversight of operational, financial, people, risk, and policy matters Development and enactment of the agreed Strategy Engagement and communication with key stakeholders Expansion of partnerships and service Development of innovative, effective, and fiscally responsible business plans ensuring long-term financial sustainability of the model Ensuring all compliances, including organisational adherence to legislations such as the Reportable Conduct Scheme, Privacy Act and Health Records Act We expect you to have: An awareness and understanding of Catholic ethos and values and a demonstrated willingness to work within this framework Relevant tertiary qualifications; legal qualifications are an advantage Financial literacy and understanding of risk and audit processes Demonstrated organisational leadership experience, with proven ability in positive cultural leadership including management of complexity and processes The ability to manage stakeholders, representing Pathways through positive engagement with the broader community The ability and strength to communicate vision High level written and oral communication skills Knowledge of the literature of the field, including relevant reviews such as the Royal Commission into Institutional Child Sexual Abuse and the Victorian Parliamentary Enquiry Understanding of relevant legislation including Child Safe Standards and Reportable Conduct Scheme We support your professional development and wellbeing.
