We are looking for a full-time Family Case Worker, consisting of 76 hours per fortnight, on a contract basis through to 31.12.2025 to join our team based in Grafton. The Role: The Family Worker plays a vital role in delivering early intervention and support services to vulnerable children, young people, and families within the DCJ Targeted Earlier Intervention (TEI) Program. This role focuses on strengthening family relationships, improving child and family well-being, and promoting positive community connections to prevent escalation into crisis or statutory services. Through a strengths-based, culturally responsive approach, the Family Worker provides case management, parenting support, advocacy, and referrals to help families navigate challenges, build resilience, and enhance their capacity for long-term stability. About You: You will have a genuine passion for helping vulnerable people, with previous experience working with children and families at risk. To be successful at Livable , you will have: Minimum Diploma in Community Service/Welfare or related discipline and 2 years relevant experience. High-level communication skills. Demonstrated experience in advocating on behalf of families and young people. Demonstrated experience in case management. Comprehensive understanding of Domestic Violence and Child Protection. Demonstrated experience in working both unsupervised and within a team. Current first aid certificate (or willingness to obtain). Working with Children Check clearance. Criminal History Screening. NDIS Worker Check. You will also be required to complete the NDIS Quality & Safeguards Commission Worker Orientation Module or provide evidence of completion. The successful candidate will also be required to demonstrate entitlement to work in Australia and to disclose any preexisting injury or disease which may be adversely affected by undertaking the inherent requirements of the position.
