Family Violence Worker - Adult Program FVCSS - North (501709) Department of HealthCommunity, Mental Health & WellbeingCMHW - Tasmanian Health Services Applications must be submitted by Monday 10 February, 2025 11:55 PM AEST Award/Classification: Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement, Allied Health Professional, Level 1-2 Employment type: Part Time Region: North Location: Family Violence Service North The Department of Health is seeking interest for a fixed-term part-time Family Violence Worker to join the Adult Program Family Violence Counselling and Support Services team in Northern Tasmania. The role: To work as a member of a professional team in the provision of services to adults affected by family violence as part of the multidisciplinary Family Violence Service established through the Government's Safe at Home initiative. Provide specialist services to adults affected by family violence in accordance with best practice principles and within a collaborative and multidisciplinary framework. Provide programs that incorporate multi-level assessments and interventions and address the needs of adults affected by family violence. You will need: Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of family violence and its impact on adults, children, and young people. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with adults, children, and young people with complex needs and apply appropriate models of intervention, including the developmental needs of children and young people. Demonstrated ability to exercise professional judgement and initiative, work with general supervision and seek guidance as appropriate. Demonstrated time management skills and ability to prioritise and monitor a busy workload while providing a high standard of client care. Ability to communicate verbally and in written form, and liaise effectively with clients, carers, and other staff and stakeholders. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team and be adaptable and flexible in a complex environment. Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement, research, and ongoing professional development. Understand the principles of primary health care and the needs and best interests of adults, children, and young people affected by family violence. Details of Appointment: Fixed-term part-time day worker position working 45.62 hours per fortnight, commencing ASAP until 30 June 2025. Salary: $73,834 - $111,364 per annum + 11.5% superannuation + access to salary packaging. Applicants should note that for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar vacancies.
