About the Role Formed in 1882, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPAH) is a major metropolitan tertiary referral hospital and a principal provider of specialist healthcare. It remains one of the nation’s most respected hospitals, with a distinguished history serving the health needs of local, statewide, national and international communities. You will be responsible for providing support and information to women attending the BreastScreen Sydney Service. You will ensure that assessment clinics run effectively and efficiently including; obtaining client consent, communicating the process to clients, answering any questions, assisting with biopsies and ensuring that clients are satisfied and well supported during their visit. You will also be required to liaise with medical personnel/general practitioners regarding client assessment results and acting as a resource for clients and referring medical practitioners. Ideal candidate Ability to function effectively in a multidisciplinary team. Tertiary qualifications as a Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration and extensive post-registration experience. Experience in counselling in a medical or cancer-related environment.
