Primary Responsibilities Manage projects, which include upgrading and/or installing Crane products as well as repair product performance items. Investigate reported product problems in Cranes and initiate corrective action, ensuring successful field implementation. Conduct field operational analysis, make improvement recommendations, and conduct retrofit management to assist in the development of products. Participate in product design reviews by analyzing events, preparing review packages, and recommending solutions. Provide information and support to all customers with equipment problems. Manage turnkey, installation, and repair projects to achieve project goals while meeting technical, delivery, and budgetary expectations. Perform other work-related tasks as assigned. Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures. Facility/Group Specific Responsibilities Install, commission, troubleshoot, and repair NOV Drilling and Crane Equipment. Work with hydraulic/pneumatic systems (including pumps, valve blocks, fittings, filters, and sensors) and mechanical systems (including fittings, gearboxes, bearings, and sensors). Manage analog and digital PLC-based systems and proprietary integrated control systems, including variable frequency drives. Handle electrical systems (including various types of AC/DC motors). Provide training to other NOV personnel on aforementioned systems and equipment as needed. Provide accurate and timely reports to appropriate personnel regarding work progress and output. Collaborate frequently with internal and external customers. Education & Job Requirements Degree/Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent; minimum 2 years of relevant experience. Prepared for deployment on short notice to travel and work on oil and gas drilling rigs/platforms/vessels, and marine vessels. For the position of Service Engineer – Mechanical, candidates should have experience working with pedestal, knuckle boom, and heavy lift cranes. Good knowledge of hydraulics & pneumatics and controls of both systems. For the position of Service Engineer – Electrical, candidates should preferably possess knowledge of AC variable frequency drives and engine controls. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (Siemens S7) is preferred. Good written and verbal communication skills. Candidates without educational prerequisites but with 5 years of related experience will be considered. #J-18808-Ljbffr
