Marine Field Service Technicians Seeking experienced Marine Field Service Technicians for varied work in marine transmissions, electronic controls, propulsion & vessel stabiliser systems. About the Role Twin Disc Pacific is seeking two experienced Marine Field Service Technicians to join our growing, collaborative and passionate team, to work on a diverse range of equipment, and grow within a company committed to our people and excellence in the marine industry. Key duties for our Marine Field Service Technicians include: Servicing, diagnosis, repair and installation support for the following equipment: Twin Disc Transmissions Electronic Control Systems Seakeeper Gyro and Ride Stabiliser Systems Hydraulic and Electric Thrusters Drive Shafts and Couplings Thermal Management Systems Plumbing Systems including pumps, inlets, strainers, valves and heat exchangers Interpretation and work from technical instructions, drawings and schematics to accurately repair or install marine equipment. Ensuring equipment is repaired/installed to the required quality standard, adhering to manufacturers requirements and Australian standards to guarantee the integrity and functionality of installed components. Following instruction from Field Service Supervisor and other Technicians to ensure seamless integration of components into marine vessels. Supporting commissioning activities and data collection on active sea trials. Some involvement may be required at times with our hybrid development projects. Providing exceptional front-line service to our customers. At times some jobs will require working away from home domestically and internationally. Assist with training of apprentices and/or new employees in the field. What we’re looking for The ideal candidates will possess a strong background in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of marine equipment and vessels. Work experience, skills and personal attributes: Hold a Trade Certificate or Engineering qualification. Minimum of 5 years’ post qualification experience in the marine industry. Proven marine equipment installation experience. Experience with engine, transmission, shaft, and coupling alignments highly regarded. Strong communication and time management skills. Proven problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing challenges. Can do attitude, autonomous and happy to support diverse work tasks. Possess attention to detail, and pride in the quality of your work and self-presentation. What we are offering An attractive salary, reviewed annually.
