Role Overview / Description As Finance Director, you will report to the Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) and partner with the Executive Leadership Team to lead financial strategy and operations. This is a pivotal role with a dual focus on strengthening financial foundations and supporting the business's growth agenda. You will oversee the end-to-end finance function, including financial control, FP&A, governance, compliance, and commercial advisory. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires a strong foundation in financial management, a track record of improving processes, and the ability to mentor and develop a capable team. Responsibilities Financial Reporting, Compliance & Governance (50%) * Oversee compliance activities, financial controls, and accurate reporting.* Manage month-end results and submissions to the Board.* Drive internal audits, ensure adherence to professional standards, and improve processes.FP&A (30%) * Lead budgeting, forecasting, and monthly business unit reviews.* Enhance financial reporting to communicate performance, risks, and opportunities.* Oversee the implementation of financial systems to improve accuracy and efficiency.Commercial Advisory (10%) * Partner with the CEO, CSO, and Leadership Team to provide insights that drive strategic decisions.* Support M&A initiatives, including due diligence and integration.People Leadership (10%) * Lead and develop a high-performing finance team.* Mentor the Financial Controller, building capability and engagement across the function. Candidate Profile You are a CA or CPA qualified Finance Professional with significant experience in senior finance leadership roles. A demonstrated technical grounding achieved from a Big 4 or mid-tier organisation would be highly preferred but is not a must have. You have depth of experience in leading reporting, internal controls, compliance and governance with exposure to listed environments. Your passion lies in developing technical and finance best practice and leading processes improvement. You are comfortable with your skillset in building influence with external and internal stakeholders. A proven track record working in leading and developing finance teams is highly critical and a near must for success in this position. As a senior finance leader, you hold a consultative leadership style that will nurture and grow an experienced and mature team and you are a curious leader who seeks to understand. You will bring to the role strong commercial acumen, vision for growth, and a passion for sound governance.
