The Roles Finance Officer G3 – 1.0FTE As the Finance Officer, you will provide general financial and administrative support to the Town’s Finance team, assisting with all aspects of accounts payable. This role encompasses a variety of general financial tasks, such as auditing, maintaining spreadsheets, performing reconciliations, and providing coverage for the team during periods of leave. Senior Finance Officer G4 -1.0 FTE As the Senior Finance Officer, you will support the finance team by maintaining the Town’s financial systems. You will assist in the monthly reporting of leases, credit cards, and payment listings, oversee stocktakes, income receipting, and other general financial tasks as needed. What we are looking for: Finance Officer Previous experience working with computerised financial systems in local government or business. Working knowledge of basic accounting principles, purchasing processes, and GST in relation to suppliers. Demonstrated computer literacy (including Excel) and keyboarding skills. Interpersonal and communication skills to provide high-quality customer service and work productively in a team environment. Effective time management and organisational skills with demonstrated initiative to problem solve financial administrative matters. What we are looking for: Senior Finance Officer Previous experience in a finance role, preferably with Local Government, with highly developed organisational and administrative skills. Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply policy and procedures. Demonstrated computer literacy (including Excel) and keyboarding skills. High level written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively deliver training. National Police Clearance (no older than 3 months).
