In collaboration, we are on the hunt for an experienced Finance and Operations Associate to work in their small but mighty HQ team to supercharge their mission. Job Overview Reporting to the Founder, the Finance and Operations Associate will establish and maintain financial infrastructure, streamline operations, ensure compliance (finance, risk, HR), and collaborate with the leadership team on strategic opportunities. This generalist role suits a growth-minded professional ready to handle daily financial tasks, operational improvements, and opportunity mapping. Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting & Budgeting: Oversee regular financial processes, including accounts payable, payroll, and bank reconciliations. Prepare and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for the board, investors, and management team. Develop and manage detailed budgets, forecasts, and financial projections for strategic decision-making. Identify opportunities for revenue uplift and cost savings. Monitor key financial changes, risks, and opportunities. Collaborate with the Founder and the Board to manage fundraising processes from lenders and private investors. Process Improvement & Systems Development: Assist the Operations Manager in setting up and maintaining HR, payment, inventory, e-commerce, and booking software and systems, including direct collaboration with tech partners for custom integrations and software solutions. Ensure the company leverages technology to enhance operations and service cost-effectively. Support strategic decision-making by analysing customer, marketing, financial, and bookings data. Payroll & Human Resources: Manage payroll and employee benefits. Maintain HR records and ensure compliance with labour laws. Advise on wage benchmarking, forecasting, and strategy. Support recruiting and hiring processes. Compliance & Company Administration: Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, including tax filings, insurance, and workers’ compensation. Work with the Operations Manager to create and maintain company policies. Provide administrative support to the HQ team as required. Skills & Experience: CA or CPA qualification. Minimum 3 years of post-qualification experience, ideally in a dynamic or high-growth environment working across multiple functions. Proficiency in Xero and advanced Excel skills. Advanced software skills. Strong analytical mindset and skills with a strategic approach to financial management and problem-solving. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment. Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
