Job Description

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Financial Accountant to join their team in Adelaide CBD. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a team within the Corporate Services department, ensuring both internal and external business reporting requirements are maintained and compliance obligations are met. The successful candidate will have the chance to collaborate with internal stakeholders, manage key accounting functions, and contribute significantly to new business initiatives. What you'll do: Lead a team within the Corporate Services department. Ensure timely and accurate completion of financial processes and compliance obligations. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop business processes. Manage key accounting functions such as Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable. Work with external auditors during the annual financial audit. Foster a performance culture within your team, promoting collaboration and excellent customer service. What you bring: Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Sound knowledge of the full finance function; from preparation of general ledger tasks to delivery of financial statements. Knowledge of core financial controls, accounting standards, tax laws and other financial regulations. Proven ability to analyse data (financial and operational) and build linkages between the data and business objectives. Ability to provide accurate reports and effective commentary that informs the organisation on performance. Proficient using ERP systems; NetSuite experience is highly desirable, but not essential. Experience with end-to-end payroll processing and relevant legislation.
