Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Trust Full time, permanent position We are looking for a Reporting & Insights Analyst to lead the digitalisation of reporting and insights processes, driving data-driven decision-making across the organisation. In this role, you will develop, implement, maintain, and enhance business intelligence tools and reporting solutions, ensuring accurate, accessible, and actionable insights. You will also play a key role in ensuring compliance with data strategies and maintaining a single source of truth for financial information and performance metrics. Key Responsibilities: Support the development of data models and Power BI reports for operational and strategic decision making. Query, extract and process data to support reporting, analysis and insights including automating repeatable monthly reporting processes. Deliver monthly reporting suite to the business in a timely manner. Partner with cross-functional teams to align objectives and facilitate data-driven decisions. Support the evaluation of data analytics tools to enhance reporting capabilities. Translate complex data insights into actionable recommendations for stakeholders. Enhance data collection methods, reporting tools and analytical techniques. Collaborate with divisional finance business partners to deliver high quality business requirements to ICT teams to develop reporting solutions for operational and functional teams. Provide ad hoc data analysis and reporting to various business stakeholders. About You: Have a solid understanding of BI tools, platforms and methodologies to deliver data-driven insights and expert level proficiency in operational tools including Power BI . Solid familiarity with data sources, data warehouses, data models, data quality, data visualisation, and data governance and security. Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions. An analytical, proactive mindset and a can-do positive attitude. Excellent interpersonal skills, team building, leadership, influencing and presentation skills. The ability to constructively challenge in order to seek better outcomes. Confident and clear communication skills, especially the ability to build the financial and commercial acumen of the wider functional teams. Strong planning and stakeholder management skills.
