About the Role As a Financial Crime Officer in our Financial Crime, Everyday Banking team, you’ll play a key role in helping effectively and efficiently prevent, detect, investigate and respond to financial crimes as delegated, this includes anti-money laundering (AML) and counter-terrorism financing (CTF), Due Diligence, Know Your Customer (KYC) and Sanctions. Role Type: 2x vacancies: Permanent rolesRole Location: 80 Ann Street, Brisbane QLD 4000 or ANZ Head Office Sydney – 242 Pitt Street, Sydney NSW 2000Work Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours What will your day look like? As a Financial Crime Officer, you will: Investigate, triage and escalate financial crime alerts ensuring compliance with internal financial crime policies and external regulatory obligations. Accurately complete delegated work while ensuring relevant customer deliverables are met, and maintain accurate case notes of each interaction and/or investigative action. Take ownership of customer experience through the financial crime investigations life cycle. Facilitate Investigation and Management ongoing KYC, Due Diligence, Sanction and Watchlist requirements. Complete and submit supporting evidence as required including written reports, statements, police briefs and recommendations to business line owners. Analyse and interpret alerts, escalating high risk issues identified. Assist with metric tracking and financial crime reporting as required. What will you bring? To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following: Qualification in financial crime investigative methods and practices are highly desirable. Strong analytical skills. Banking experience is highly desirable. Experience in AML CTF roles or similar investigative roles are highly desirable. Strong customer service experience.
