As a Financial Specialist , you will work closely with our finance shared services team and Financial Controller to ensure smooth financial operations. You will play a key role in billing, collections, supplier inquiries, payments, payroll, taxes, and compliance , while also contributing to finance transformation projects aimed at improving efficiency and accuracy. Key Responsibilities Finance Operations: Manage day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), accounting, and month-end closing. Support billing and collections, ensuring accurate invoicing and timely follow-ups on outstanding payments. Maintain accurate financial records and resolve client and supplier inquiries. Work with our finance shared services team to ensure efficient processing of invoices and payments. Maintain relationships with external auditors, tax authorities, and financial institutions. Payroll & Tax Compliance: Support payroll processing , ensuring compliance with local tax and labor regulations. Assist in tax filings (VAT, GST, payroll tax, corporate tax) across different jurisdictions. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements. Issue Investigation & Resolution: Conduct root cause analysis of financial discrepancies and recommend improvements. Implement financial controls and policies to enhance efficiency and mitigate risks. Finance Transformation & Continuous Improvement: Assist the Financial Controller with process transformation projects. Identify areas for improvement and drive efficiency in financial operations. Collaborate across teams to streamline financial processes. Reporting & Analysis: Support financial analysis and operational reporting for better decision-making. Assist in quarterly, half-yearly, and annual reporting. Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and provide analytical insights. Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent qualification (CPA, CA preferred). 5+ years of experience in financial operations, accounting, or auditing. ASX-listed experience is a plus! Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and compliance across multiple countries. Experience with accounting software (Xero, SAP, NetSuite) and advanced proficiency in Excel & PowerPoint. Analytical mindset with a meticulous approach to financial processes. Strong problem-solving and project management skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment across different time zones.
