TR Group is a Truck and Trailer, Rental and Lease business helping to support businesses across Australia and NZ with their short and long-term heavy commercial vehicle needs. We have one of the largest ranges of trailers and prime movers to hire, and with years of experience in heavy commercial vehicles and industry experience, we pride ourselves on putting the customer's experience first and foremost. We are looking for a Fleet Services leading hand to lead our Melbourne Rental Branch workshop team. This is a newly created role with the opportunity to make a real impact, ensuring our rental fleet is maintained to the highest standard and ready to deliver an exceptional customer experience. This role requires a strong leader who can manage workflow, uphold our quality standards, and ensure the safety and efficiency of our workshop operations. Working closely with the Operations Manager and Dehire Coordinator, you will play a key role in keeping our fleet in top condition while driving process improvements. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the Equipment services and washbay team, ensuring smooth operations and high performance. Maintain our TR standards to guarantee a consistent, high-quality fleet for our customers. Serve as the technical expert, providing guidance on fleet issues, training, and best practices. Oversee fleet condition and coordinate the dehire process to determine the next steps for each vehicle. Ensure strict adherence to Health & Safety regulations, ensuring fortnightly safety meetings. Work collaboratively across departments to improve turnaround times and drive efficiency. What We’re Looking For: Proven experience running a workshop or solid experience in a transport industry setting. Trade qualified would be a bonus. A strong leader with experience managing teams and workflow. Solid knowledge of Health & Safety in a practical and tactile way, with the ability to influence and bring others on the journey. Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritise multiple jobs effectively. A proactive, solutions-focused approach with a commitment to continuous improvement. Proficiency in Excel & Word to manage reporting and administrative tasks. Why Join Us?
