Award/Classification: Health and Human Services (Tasmanian State Service) Award, General Stream, Health Services Officers, Level 2 Salary: $57,130 to $59,443 pro rata, per annum Employment type: Part Time Region: North Location: LGH Charles Street, Launceston The Role: Provide a high standard of food service to hospital patients, staff, and patrons of the Launceston General Hospital (LGH) in accordance with Agency policies, procedures, and guidelines. Responsibilities include assisting with food preparation, production, plating service, ware-washing, and cleaning duties in the provision of catering services to patients, visitors, and staff of the hospital. Key Responsibilities: Assist in maintaining a high standard of food preparation, production, service, meal distribution, ware-washing, and cleaning of the hospital service areas in accordance with the relevant codes of practice. Actively participate in and contribute to the organisation’s Quality & Safety and Work Health & Safety processes, including in the development and implementation of safety systems and improvement initiatives. Responsible for cleaning and sanitising all kitchen equipment, utensils, floors, and walls as directed by relevant supervisors and in accordance with relevant guidelines. Requirements: Able to work as a part of a team but also independently. Able to work in a busy environment safely and with a focus on patients' needs at all times. Have a working knowledge of food safety (preferable). The Team: A fast-paced work environment within a great team. LGH Food Services provides meals to over 300 patients daily (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) 365 days a year. Details of Appointment: Permanent, part-time, shift worker position (fully rotational), working 40 hours per fortnight, to commence as soon as possible. Salary Packaging: You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
