5 days ago Be among the first 25 applicants Location: Brisbane, QLD (Hybrid/Remote Flexibility) Salary $100k-$115k (Depending on experience) Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Fraud & Responsible Gambling (RG) Manager to oversee and enhance our fraud prevention and responsible gambling strategies. This role is pivotal in ensuring regulatory compliance, mitigating business risks, and fostering a safe and sustainable gaming environment. Your leadership will directly protect our customers and ensure the long-term sustainability of our business. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, analytical expertise, and an in-depth understanding of fraud prevention and responsible gambling policies. Key Responsibilities: Leadership & Team Management: Oversee a diverse team across Brisbane, Darwin, and Manila, including rostering, hiring, training & work allocation. Fraud Prevention & Risk Management: Develop and implement fraud detection strategies, write process and policy documentation, ensure accurate data & reporting. Regulatory Compliance: Own the process of any reporting obligations, ensure registers are up to date in line with necessary regulatory compliance, liaise with NTRWC, ACMA, and other regulatory bodies. Responsible Gambling Initiatives: Implement industry-leading practices to protect vulnerable players and promote safer gambling. Regulatory Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory bodies, ensuring proper handling of customer complaints and compliance matters. Internal Tools Management: Oversee the development and enhancement of internally built RG tools, with the ability to recommend and integrate external solutions as required. Qualifications & Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in fraud prevention or responsible gambling, with at least 2 years in a managerial role. Strong understanding of fraud monitoring and responsible gambling frameworks within the wagering, financial services, or crypto sectors. Experience managing remote teams and fostering collaboration across multiple locations. Familiarity with fraud detection/verification tools and reporting platforms (e.g. Mixpanel/ Lightdash) is advantageous. Strong analytical, decision-making and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, particularly in a regulatory environment. Strong understanding of payments, risk assessment, and compliance protocols. Strategic mindset with the ability to balance commercial risk management and regulatory compliance. Customer-first approach with a commitment to ensuring player safety.
