The Freight Planning Performance Specialist based in Sydney is a key leadership role within the Freight Planning department. This position will see you responsible for the strategic planning, team leadership and support, continuous improvement and change management across the Freight Planning Office portfolio. This position requires a high level of both internal and external stakeholder engagement and team rapport as you work through both BAU and Project Work. You will collaborate with the wider team to optimise freight operations to meet contracted service level agreements. What you’ll bring to the role: Prior experience in freight and/or freight planning The ability to lead and support a team, whilst managing multiple priorities Onboarding and training new staff into teams Previous experience in working with a variety of stakeholders both internal and external, with the ability to maintain and manage relationships Exceptional communication skills, this includes, both written and verbal across multiple channels (Face to face, Email and Phone) Aptitude for learning new technology tools and business system configuration management Proven planning, analytical and problem-solving skills Self-motivated with the ability to follow procedures whilst also maintaining attention to detail Ability to show initiative and sound judgement when required to make decisions and gain cooperation.
