Job Description - Freight Sorter - Afternoon Shift (WAR00000896) Description Join our established, fun, and driven team where you can start a career in transport, at our Eagle Farm depot. As a PM Freight Sorter , you will be focused on accurately sorting general freight to the correct destinations while handling it with care. This opportunity is ideal for someone who is looking to start their transport career. With support, growth and development from the leadership team and internal trainer, there is unlimited opportunity to progress your career. As a Freight Sorter you will: Work Monday to Friday starting at 4:30pm Casual opportunities with potential to go permanent. Manually handle the freight ensuring all freight is treated with care ensuring zero damages Palletize carton freight and wrapping pallets Ensure all item labels correctly are double checked to eliminate freight misdirects and loss of efficiency Assist other departments with securing freight in trucks, closing gates & curtains on trucks and any other Adhoc duties. Highly precise work demanding strong attention to detail. Emphasis on high-quality, repeatable results; cautious decision-making based on facts and established processes.
