Senior Border Force Officer (Affirmative Measures - First Nations) Location: NSW; ACT Employment Type: Ongoing (Permanent), Full-time / Part-time Classification: APS Level 5 - $80,748.00 and $87,572.00 plus 15.4% super (part time pro-rata) Contact Officer: Office Arrangements: Flexible - Flexible working arrangements can be negotiated in accordance with our Enterprise Agreement and the operational requirements of the role. About our team: East Command has responsibility for the operational delivery of the ABF's mission to protect Australia's border through enabling legitimate trade and travel, as well as through enforcement activities in NSW and ACT. You will lead a team under operational command principles and provide general direction to support border enforcement activities in a variety of operational environments. Duties and responsibilities: An APS5 Senior Border Force Officer is accountable and responsible for supporting the delivery of a range of activities, which may include but are not limited to: Under limited direction, perform and achieve a range of routine to moderately complex administrative support work within a fast-paced environment. Lead a small team of officers, ensuring team members are supported to deliver against objectives. Co-ordinate resources (people, technology and other assets) to support the operational priorities of the work area. Liaise effectively with a range of internal and external stakeholders. Oversee and support officers to manage performance and build capability, including through mentoring, feedback and coaching. This position requires the candidate to meet the following requirements: Obtain and maintain essential and role-specific qualifications. Maintain dress and appearance standards according to the Department's uniform policy. Swear an oath or make an affirmation into the ABF. Actively participate in career management. Attain and maintain relevant medical, fitness and psychometric standards. Obtain and maintain a valid driver's licence (preferable).
