About our team Regional Operations | Ac West | Operations West | Chief of Staff WA Operations West is responsible for the effective facilitation of people and goods (travel and trade) across the border in WA, while protecting government revenue and ensuring compliance with Australia's customs and immigration laws. The Chief of Staff WA team is an enabling and support work area, responsible for supporting the Regional Senior Executive in the administrative and operational management of the region, including identifying and managing reputational issues, emerging risks, capability gaps, and strategic engagement opportunities. The Section is responsible for supporting the branch workforce management needs and capability development of all staff in Operations West. The Section is also responsible for identifying Business Improvement initiatives for Operations West. Our ideal candidate We are looking for a candidate who has a proven proficiency in, or the ability to obtain, knowledge and capability in the following: Data management and data analysis Advanced experience in Microsoft's M365 platform, specifically SharePoint, Forms, Lists, and Power BI Advanced MS Excel skills including the use of complex formulas, Power Query's, and Data Modelling, scenarios. It is desirable for the candidate to have: An understanding of project management with experience of prior responsibility for actual projects Writing code in a variety of programming languages. Duties and responsibilities SharePoint - Create new pages, use web parts to design pages, create lists, link lists, insert calculated column/formulas, manipulate lists with JSON, manage access controls Power BI - Create new reports, extract data from SharePoint lists and other data sources, run power queries, data model multiple lists, embed Reports into SharePoint or other M365 applications Excel - Develop excel models which include where necessary; formulas, power queries, data modelling, scenarios Liaise with clients/users to define, specify, create and manage content management processes to meet the needs of users Take responsibility for installation projects, providing effective team leadership including information flow to and from stakeholders during project work. Additional information This is a technical role and requires that the work performed is in compliance with the SharePoint Site Governance Framework and in partnership with the Web Design team. Under limited supervision, the position manages the principal enabling and support SharePoint websites for Operations West. These websites contain communication updates on various subjects, databases on various subjects, numerous user entry forms for a multitude of subjects, workplace surveys, etc. The position will manage all these webpages from the initial design of the webpage, through to testing and implementation of the data tables, entry forms, and surveys, etc. The candidate is expected to provide support to, and work as, part of the Chief of Staff team which includes undertaking duties relating to the whole Chief of Staff WA team.
