About our team Group Manager Legal | Legal Strategy & Services | Practice Management Support Section The Practice Management Support Section undertakes a range of non-legal tasks on behalf of the Legal Group such as responding to subpoenas, managing claims for the return of seized goods, drafting of court and tribunal documents and undertaking a range of corporate activities including recruitment coordination. Organisational skills High level communication skills (both verbal and written) Negotiation and interpersonal skills High degree of accuracy and attention to detail Experience and knowledge of paralegal processes will be highly desirable Knowledge of and/or experience with Departmental recruitment and administrative processes would be highly regarded Duties and responsibilities There are two positions to be filled; these roles will undertake an appropriate range of duties applicable to the position, for example: Processing subpoenas, including complex subpoenas Coordination and ongoing support in relation to matters heard in the Administrative Review Tribunal (ART) including the compiling of documents and drafting the statement required under section 23 of the ART Act Assisting with managing the accommodation needs of the Group Liaising with external agencies regarding the production of departmental material in relation to subpoenas or disclosure obligations Management of the online legal research subscriptions for the Group, including the organisation of training as required Data extraction and analysis for a range of internal reports, responding to queries for data and information to support local and strategic management of the Group Run Gazettal rounds and EOIs for recruitment of LOs, SLOs, PLOs, and Administrative Support Officers.
