Reporting directly to the Product and Innovation Director, you'll be at the heart of our product development process. About the Role: As a Garment Technician, you will be accountable for the technical fitting and approval of samples, ensuring they meet critical path and delivery timelines. You'll work closely with our Design team on product innovation, maintaining our position as a leader in the field. Your role will involve liaising with factories and suppliers, ensuring design commerciality, and providing accurate technical packs. You'll attend garment fittings, be involved in wear tests, and solve product development issues. To set you up for success in this exciting role, a strong understanding of the fitting process is essential. We’re looking for someone with experience in lingerie, underwear, intimates, and swimwear, along with a keen eye for new techniques, finishes, and garment composition. If you’re passionate about creating garments that fit perfectly and stand out, we’d love to hear from you! What You Will Do: Oversee sample fitting and approval to meet delivery timelines. Collaborate with Design on product innovation and commerciality. Ensure target margins and quality standards are met. Maintain strong relationships with factories and suppliers. Provide accurate technical packs and manage PLM data. Attend fittings and wear tests, offering feedback to suppliers. Resolve product development issues with the team. Stay updated on new technical developments and communicate with overseas factories. Conduct risk assessments on fabrics and finishes. Manage product size guides and communicate changes. Lead wear tests, document feedback, and reduce returns. Support finalizing products for production and collaborate with Customer Experience and Marketing teams. Who You Are: You bring a minimum of 10 years of experience in the apparel industry, ideally with a background in technical fitting and garment sample approval. Experience in lingerie, underwear, intimates, and swimwear, along with expertise in new techniques, finishes, and garment composition, will be highly regarded. You will also bring: A relevant tertiary qualification Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with PLM data entry and management Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with Design, Production, and external suppliers A solid understanding of critical paths, timelines, and the commercial aspects of design Attention to detail with experience in creating accurate technical packs and conducting risk assessments on new fabrics, finishes, and ranges Expertise in attending garment fittings, wear tests, and providing timely feedback Strong problem-solving skills with a proven track record of managing product development issues Knowledge of maintaining product size guides and ensuring quality standards are met A proactive approach to reducing returns and suggesting improvements Ability to assist in finalizing new products on time and in full for production Familiarity with market trends and up-to-date knowledge of new technical developments What We Offer: Here’s what you can expect as part of our team: Impactful Work : Represent multi-award-winning products that make a real difference in personal care, with an opportunity to shape the industry.
