General Manager – Perth Office – Engineering Consultancy National multidisciplinary consultancy working across the private and public sectors, including Urban Development, Built Environment, Water, Environmental & Renewables, and Transport, is seeking a General Manager who is comfortable in leading and building a team, coupled with strong people skills, and team engagement being a primary part of your management style. The Perth team is around 10 people consisting of Project Managers, Civil Engineers and Civil Designers, with a vision to double the team size in the next couple of years. The key responsibilities of the role will be to manage, coordinate and supervise the internal and external teams to complete projects run out of the Perth office, as well as monitoring project budgets and timeframes to ensure that all projects are adequately resourced to meet client expectations and secure revenue within the Perth region. This includes: Contributing to the improvement of systems and processes. Overseeing and ensuring the timely completion of projects, including preparing and finalising invoicing, project forecasting, etc. Overseeing and ensuring the completion of all monthly reporting requirements. Contributing to the development and delivery of the company’s strategic and operational goals and planning processes. Providing leadership and oversight to ensure that the technical capability of the group meets the current needs of the organisation - training and development requirements. Active involvement in workforce planning. Providing and fostering knowledge sharing. Assessment of the financial performance including assessment of debtors, WIP, write ups/downs, etc. This is an opportunity for a Civil Engineer with extensive experience in the industry who has been playing a key management role in an engineering consultancy environment. Engineering Degree and ideally 10+ years in leadership roles, with a desire to grow and build the Perth office. Interested?
