Chifley Square, Sydney NSW 2000, Australia Posted Thursday 27 February 2025 at 1:00 pm About the role Based in our Chifley Square head office and reporting into the Chief Executive Officer – Alliance Australia, the General Manager of Nursing and Extrastaff will be responsible for the successful operation of the Alliance Nursing, Alliance Rural and Remote Health and Alliance Extrastaff businesses, as well as developing & delivering a sustainable business plan and budget for your business units. This will be in alignment with the overarching Alliance Australia Group Strategy, ensuring the business meets agreed targets and growth objectives. Key Accountabilities include, but not limited to: Strategy - Actively contribute to the Alliance Australia annual strategic planning process, taking ownership for the successful implementation of applicable Alliance Australia strategic milestones/initiatives and communication of agreed strategies and plans to your Nursing, Rural and Remote Health and Extrastaff businesses. Finance - A commercial and financial approach is used to prepare robust business cases to support decision making. Manage the overall financial performance and viability of the business units with effective management of debtor’s function, ensuring each Branch meets specified target and the annual budget. Compliance - Create an environment to ensure the maintenance of quality, risk and compliance standards, policies & procedures ensuring accreditation standards are met and systems are utilised to their full advantage. Operational Excellence - Ensure the operating model and business structure for the allocated area of responsibility is fit for purpose, optimised and applied consistently across all locations. To be done with appropriate monitoring and reporting in place, including system utilisation and continuous process improvement and technology innovation. Recruitment - Drive attraction, retention and utilisation of an active pool of candidates to meet client demands utilising varied sourcing methods to grow the pools of active candidates. Business Development – Develop, implement and lead a sales strategy with plans to maximise account growth in both existing accounts and through the identification of new opportunities, or geographies, in line with the overall sales strategy. People Management - Attract, retain and develop an engaged and high performing team that can deliver on KPIs and to work collaboratively with all departments in supporting our organisation, its Customers and Candidates. About you You will be able to demonstrate substantial previous experience as a senior level people leader within the Healthcare & Nursing staffing solutions sector. You will have experience working in environments of change and transformation with a focus on operational excellence and high-quality care to both clients and candidates. Ideally you enjoy collaborating with a diverse team and prioritise partnering with your business group leaders to ensure you work together to overcome key changes/challenges in market conditions. You are a hands-on manager who ensures business strategies and objectives are met.
