At Wellcare Australia , we provide disability support services for NDIS participants with ongoing care needs. Our vision is to provide excellent person-centered and recovery-oriented care to help our participants through their recovery journey. We are seeking an experienced, suitably qualified, and motivated General Manager to oversee and manage the service operations in our business in ACT and oversee operations in NSW, VIC (our new and developing regions). You will be the main point of contact for all service matters and take responsibility for ensuring the day-to-day delivery of quality service within the portfolio and ensure it meets the expectations of our participants and other stakeholders. This role requires a sound knowledge of NDIS services in the Mental Health and Disability space, along with the ability to influence positive change and developments across our services. Your key responsibilities will be, but not limited to: Leadership and Management: Provide strategic leadership and direction to the services team, ensuring alignment with the organisation’s mission and goals. Operational Oversight: Oversee the day-to-day operations of multiple group homes, ensuring compliance with NDIS practice standards and regulations. Quality Assurance: Implement and monitor quality assurance processes to ensure the delivery of high-quality services and continuous improvement. Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with participants, their families, staff, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration. Financial Management: Develop and manage budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and financial sustainability. Staff Development: Lead, mentor, and support staff to foster a positive and productive work environment. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks to ensure the safety and well-being of participants and staff. Reporting and Compliance: Ensure accurate and timely reporting to regulatory bodies and stakeholders, maintaining compliance with all relevant legislation and standards. About You 10-15 years of experience in a similar position and industry. Strong business acumen along with a customer service mindset. Ability to think critically and strategically to drive service improvement projects. Strong interpersonal, leadership and people skills. Highly motivated and passionate about recovery. Positive, enthusiastic and a ‘can-do’ attitude. Strong written and verbal communication skills. A relevant degree in Social Work, Mental Health, Disability Services, Nursing or Occupational Therapy. Candidates with extensive knowledge of NDIS program and supports would be highly preferred. Aged care, disability care or other healthcare related management experience would be considered.
