As the General Manager – Strategy and Performance, you will work closely with the ASC Leadership team and key stakeholders to develop and execute a comprehensive programmatic strategy that ensures ASC’s long-term success over the next 2-5 years. Your leadership will shape the future of ASC’s operations, ensuring alignment with external trends, emerging technologies, and strategic priorities to maintain ASC’s position as a leader in submarine construction and sustainment. Responsibilities Lead programmatic business planning process, ensuring alignment with ASC’s 5-year Strategic Plan. Assess external market trends, emerging technologies, and competitive dynamics to inform strategic decision-making. Establish and monitor performance metrics, KPIs, and benchmarks to drive continuous improvement. Identify key risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure long-term programmatic success. Provide strategic advice to the programmatic leadership and senior leadership teams. Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and performance excellence across the organisation. Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to drive collaborative strategic initiatives. About you Tertiary qualifications in business or a related discipline. Significant post-qualification experience, preferably in the defence or shipbuilding sector, or adjacent industry. Proven ability to develop and execute business strategies that drive growth and success. Strong financial and business acumen to support informed decision-making. Experience managing change and defining stakeholder accountabilities. Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to simplify complex information and identify key data points for strategic decision-making. Demonstrated ability to foster a culture of leadership, learning, and performance excellence. Eligibility This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance to an NV1 level. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance. Whilst ASC will accept all applications for this role, as this role requires an ability to access protected US defence technology, applicants holding nationality of certain foreign countries will not be eligible.
