Job Category: Community Services and Development Job Description About the Role Career opportunity to make a newly created role your own and transform the digital capability of an organisation with a purpose. This role brings together the Systems and Information Technology (IT) functions and will unlock the potential of our operational systems and streamline IT services. As a member of the Leadership Team, you will collaborate organisation wide to support the achievement of the Strategic Plan 2024 to 2028. Key to this will be ensuring that systems supported processes are scalable to support growth as we innovate to bridge gaps and be a leader in transformative services. A recently completed IT & Systems Strategy sets out a roadmap for the completion of a program of work, however there is still plenty of opportunity to put your stamp on it as you lead the analysis and planning for each phase, prepare business cases for approval by the Executive and Board, and drive implementation. Key responsibilities include: Leadership Provide leadership to the IT & Systems teams and oversee day to day operations. Proactively support career progression and professional development. Lead and grow a positive technology enable business culture. Research, evaluate and implement new and emerging technologies. Collaborate with the Leadership Team to implement the Strategic Plan 2024 to 2028. Service Delivery Review IT operations and streamline services provided to align with operational needs. Drive a step change in systems service delivery including the design, implementation and maintenance of user guides, training, managed upgrades, enhanced support, a proactive approach to continuous improvement and a best practice approach to everything we do. Partner with the business to understand operations and process and how technology can continue to be improved to ensure all current and future operational needs are met. Projects Drive the implementation of the IT & Systems Strategy, ensuring all projects are completed on time and within budget. Flexibility support adhoc projects as we pivot to take advantage of opportunities. Support the prioritisation, development and implementation of projects initiated by others in the context of broader organisational priorities, ensuring expectations are managed effectively. Ensure all technology risks are identified and managed effectively. Coordinate a review of Cybersecurity and implement any initiatives identified. Ensure a best practice approach to data governance ensuring the information of employees and individuals accessing our services are secure at all times. Proactively identify risks for new services and manage effectively. Budget Management Prepare IT & Systems budget and collaborate with finance to contribute to the budget and forecast process. Actively manage the IT & Systems budget to ensure it is achieved. Reporting Work closely with the operations team to develop the outcomes measurement framework strategic initiative. Drive the development and implementation of a single source of truth for accessible data which supports effective decision making and visibility of key metrics in real time. Oversee the development of dashboards and reports in systems and PowerBI as required to support the information and reporting needs of the organisation. Foster and build productive professional relationships with external stakeholders to ensure systems meet both current and emerging organisational requirements. This role is full-time, Monday to Friday, and is based in Cannington. We support a flexible work environment! Desired Skills and Experience About You To be considered for this role, you will possess: Qualifications Degree in related field. Experience Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders. Strong business partnering with the ability to translate complex systems and technical concepts into easy to understand operational terms. Strong leadership skills with the ability to instil a culture of innovation and improvement and build high performing teams. Strong management skills including coordinating a team to manage multiple deadlines and produce high quality outputs. Significant experience in similar roles or extensive transferable skills. Exceptional organisation and planning skills. Clear understanding of best practice principles in Systems and IT Operations. Experience with digital transformation projects or delivery of systems strategy including planning and analysis, business case development, project prioritisation, implementation, project management and change management. Experience in the not-for-profit sector is desirable. Power BI experience is desirable. The use of AI to improve efficiency and management of associated risks is desirable. Other requirements Current WA driver’s licence. Current Satisfactory National Police Clearance. NDIS Worker Screening Check.
