Job Description We are seeking a motivated and experienced General Manager to lead ibis Styles Mount Isa and provide strong leadership to a small but passionate team of hospitality professionals. Reporting directly to the Vice President Operations WA & TAS, you will take on a highly diverse role, with hands-on responsibility for the hotel’s financial performance, sales, human resources, and corporate social responsibility initiatives. As General Manager, you will ensure exceptional guest experiences while driving business performance and fostering a culture of excellence. This is a unique opportunity for an ambitious leader to make a significant impact in a thriving regional destination, guiding a talented team of Heartists toward continued success. Please note this position is a live-on-site role, providing accommodation at the Hotel as part of the employment package. Key Responsibilities Lead, inspire, and mentor a small but strong team, fostering individual growth and collaboration. Develop and implement strategies to drive revenue, enhance operational efficiency, and elevate the guest experience. Oversee day-to-day operations and ensure all departments meet and exceed performance targets. Drive sales and marketing efforts to maximise occupancy and build brand loyalty. Manage cost control and implement capital expenditure projects to improve the hotel’s offerings. Make high-level sales & marketing decisions, leveraging a consultative approach and supporting team collaboration. Qualifications A qualification in hotel management, hospitality management, commerce or business administration would be highly regarded. About You Previous experience as a Senior Head of Department or General Manager, with a thorough knowledge of all hotel operations. Lead, inspire, and motivate a team of experienced professionals, developing team members and engaging employees at all levels. Provide strategic direction to build market performance, drive business outcomes, and foster successful ownership relationships. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to create a positive and collaborative work environment. Demonstrate an innovative approach, with a strong drive for results, and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences. Interpret financial documents with ease to inform decision-making, manage profitability, and ensure operational success. Full Australian working rights.
