The primary purpose of the role is to be responsible for the operational management, orientation and training of radiographers to the Ultrasound services within the Department of Radiology at RPAH and Chris O'Brien Lifehouse. Ensuring optimum utilisation of the resource, equipment maintenance and quality assurance activities to ensure high quality imaging, efficient patient throughput and workflow. Performing medical imaging procedures and be responsible for the production and archiving of diagnostic images. Ideal Candidate Has degree in Medical Radiation Technology or equivalent and a Diploma or Graduate Diploma of Medical Ultrasound (or equivalent). Currently holds NSW EPA Radiation Licence and current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Accredited Sonographer (via Australasian Sonographer Association (ASAR). Evidence of leadership skills and motivation with sound ability in conflict resolution and staff performance management issues. Possess perceptive interpersonal and staff liaison skills.
