About the Role: This GRC Business Partner role will be part of the Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) team within the Finance Business Group. The GRC team is responsible for managing Woodside’s enterprise risk profile, and oversees governance, risk and compliance across the organisation. Roles within GRC offer an exciting opportunity to develop your skills by working across a diverse range of areas, from corporate governance over how we work, to overseeing regulatory compliance matters linked to our licence to operate, to current and emerging risks that could impact company objectives and performance. Reporting to the Corporate Risk Team Lead, you will collaborate with the business to drive value through strategic insights, challenge and expertise in risk, privacy, compliance and governance/assurance. You will have oversight of and champion the enterprise-wide approach to risk management, regulatory compliance and privacy, ensuring consistency of application and continuous improvement. The GRC Business Partner will also help to ensure that the required behaviours that underpin the transition to the new WMS are understood and implemented, providing guidance and managing change to ensure that processes remain appropriate to business activities. This position will be based in the Perth office and will closely collaborate with various Corporate Risk business areas including Finance, HR, Legal and Group General Counsel, External Affairs and Strategy. Duties & Responsibilities: Champion and role model leadership expectations and behaviours. Provide subject matter expertise across all aspects of GRC (Governance, Risk, Regulatory Compliance and Privacy). Provide expert, objective advice and guidance on emerging and current risk identification and management. Lead high-value risk assessments and risk review workshops/sessions with key stakeholders. Actively engage with the business areas to identify and manage new and emerging risks across the corporate business pillars, and analyse any trends or cumulative risk profiles. Provide guidance on regulatory compliance processes and systems and engage SME support from the GRC Regulatory Compliance team where required. Coordinate reporting and communication of enterprise-wide material risks and governance. Skills & Experience: Ability to confidently engage with a wide variety of stakeholders at multiple levels both within GRC and in other business groups. Understanding of Woodside’s governance, risk and compliance processes (i.e. some background knowledge to support effectiveness in role). Ability to understand and analyse strategic and emerging risks, pulling out themes and influencing how the business can prepare for these. Highly developed influencing, negotiation and communication (presentation/written/oral) skills. Knowledge of oil & gas industry, including applicable regulatory frameworks and the standard profile of risk. Leadership skills including fostering a positive team dynamic, promoting collaboration and facilitating effective problem-solving sessions with a team. Confidence to work with full autonomy in managing stakeholders, with authority to directly solve issues and an instinct to know when escalation is appropriate.
