The Role: The Dietetics team at Northern Health is seeking Grade 2 Dietitians to join the team on a casual basis. The role requires high-level expertise in acute dietetics, particularly with complex surgical, medical, and critical care patients, and will be based at The Northern Hospital – Epping. This position will work closely with the multidisciplinary team, including medical staff, nursing staff, allied health clinicians, and other relevant operational staff to deliver high-quality dietetic services. Staff are expected to work a minimum of one weekend (inclusive of Saturday and Sunday) per month to every 6 weeks, and nominate for public holiday cover throughout the year. To be successful in this role you will have: Minimum 3 years clinical experience Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the area of acute adult nutrition (critical care, complex surgical, and medical patients) Well-developed interpersonal skills and effective verbal and written communication skills An ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and provide staff/community education Demonstrated negotiation and conflict resolution skills Commitment to ongoing professional development Competent computer skills, particularly in word processing and Internet use Understanding of the cultural diversity of the community Current Victorian Driver License Next Steps: If this opportunity sounds like the next step in your career, we would love to hear from you.
