About The Role Join GPA’s Engineering team and kick-start your career by working on projects that drive progress in critical industries. You'll gain hands-on experience under the guidance of experienced engineers, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and develop technical and professional skills essential for your future success. Tasks typically include: Design and specification of Power Distribution systems and equipment including Transformers, Generators, Switchrooms, Switchboards, Motors. Design of Power Distribution Systems including protection studies and cable calculations; using various industry leading software. Design and specification of Instrumentation and Control Systems Hardware for Automation of plant. Exposure to Hazardous Areas and Design especially for the Oil & Gas and Hydrogen industries. Development of professional and accurate project documentation, including calculations, reports, specifications, datasheets and scopes of work. Modelling of electrical systems to specify and set protection equipment, cable sizes and electrical equipment ratings. Involvement in Site Based activities including Site Visits, Inspections/Testing, Construction Support and Commissioning. Involvement in Project Engineering tasks including budget and schedule tracking, scoping monitoring, Client and Vendor liaison and reporting to internal/external project managers. Development of knowledge and understanding of Australian Standards and application to design.
