About The Internship GPA’s Undergraduate Engineering placement will see you working on projects that drive progress in critical industries. You'll gain hands-on experience under the guidance of experienced engineers, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and develop technical and professional skills essential for your future success. Tasks typically include: Design and specification of Power Distribution systems and equipment including Transformers, Generators, Switchrooms, Switchboards, Motors. Design of Power Distribution Systems including protection studies and cable calculations; using various industry-leading software. Design and specification of Instrumentation and Control Systems Hardware for Automation of plant. Exposure to Hazardous Areas and Design especially for the Oil & Gas and Hydrogen industries. Development of professional and accurate project documentation, including calculations, reports, specifications, datasheets, and scopes of work. Involvement in Site Based activities including Site Visits, Inspections/Testing, Construction Support, and Commissioning. Involvement in Project Engineering tasks including budget and schedule tracking, scoping monitoring, Client and Vendor liaison, and reporting to internal/external project managers. Development of knowledge and understanding of Australian Standards and application to design.
