The Opportunity We are looking for a Graduate Veterinarian who will join our group and become an active member of the SunPork veterinary and nutrition team supporting health and welfare programs and strategic objectives of the team. Primarily based in Qld servicing farms in the Darling Downs, Dalby and Western Downs area with some interstate travel. What you will be doing Animal health: visiting farms and maintaining regular contact with farm staff and managers to help understand the health status of our farms through: monitoring and surveillance of animals, disease investigation including sampling for diagnostic investigations, prepare and monitor compliance with herd health and treatment plans; and recording and reporting of findings and instructions to farms. Animal welfare: be a leader in animal welfare education and maintain regular contact and engagement with the veterinary and nutrition team on matters of animal welfare. Biosecurity: lead biosecurity education and implementation; Farm Productivity and Animal health products and medications. Reporting: veterinary visit reports need to be communicated promptly to ensure action items can be implemented promptly. Scripts need to be updated regularly and clear directions provided for how to use the product. Qualifications, Skills and Experience Veterinarian currently registered to practice in all states that SunPork operates in Excellent oral and written communication Time management and organisational skills Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a team Extension of complex concepts to stakeholders of varying backgrounds and knowledge base Ability to understand and interpret scientific literature and technical information Attention to detail and accuracy in conducting tasks and data recording Efficient interpersonal skills Competent use of a computer and ability to learn relevant software products including Office 365 and other specialised software Current Valid Drivers Licence Availability to travel as required - interstate and overnights are expected What We Offer By joining us, you will become part of an ever-growing family that is passionate about providing the best quality.
