About the Role The focus of the Group Finance Manager – Operations and Sales is to ensure timely and accurate delivery and analysis of financial performance in order to assist the business in making key commercial decisions for Sales and Operations. This position focuses on the operations and sales business units. Duties include but are not limited to: Provide strong leadership, management and guidance to the team who support sales and operations. Work closely with the Sales team to assist in forecasting and pricing reviews. Demonstrate strong leadership skills aimed at bringing people with you. Demonstrate strong communication skills – effective communicator at all levels of the business. Ensure team support of the relevant business partners by sound analysis and timely reporting. Support the CFO in various ad hoc requests for management and shareholders. Lead month-end preparation on the sales and operations business units. Lead the yearly budget and quarterly forecast preparation for sales and operations. Lead the Long Range planning and the inputs and analysis thereof. Drive disciplined monthly reviews of operations in order to achieve KPI’s and increase profitability. Full product and production margin analysis of various products and performance of key production facilities. Prepare the required weekly, monthly and quarterly corporate reports with required analysis and comments. Identify and drive the improvement of reporting tools to make processes more efficient. Responsible for the tracking of all Capital projects across the business unit with the team to ensure adherence to budgets and forecasts. Involvement in growth and development of the business. Maintain and implement best practice processes around governance and compliance with up-to-date knowledge of accounting standards while focusing on continuous improvement. Essential Criteria, Skills and Experience Tertiary qualification in Accounting. Food manufacturing background would be preferred. 10 years plus of Accounting and Administration experience. Leadership experience in managing a team remotely. ERP system knowledge and various systems experience – SAP B1, Concur, Jedox, Power BI. Commercial business experience. Effective communication skills. Ability to deliver and discuss financial results to all levels of the organisation. Ability to prepare monthly corporate reports with a high level of analysis and commentary. Management of ad-hoc information requests and analysis. Valid driver’s license. Must be able to travel regularly to factories in various locations. What You Should Know About Our Operations Our business is widespread, growing walnuts and almonds in the Riverina Region in New South Wales, pecans in Moree and macadamias, avocados, mangoes and lemons in Bundaberg, Queensland. Off the paddock, we operate nut processing and packing facilities in Leeton, Toowoomba and Bundaberg as well as fruit packing and processing in Bundaberg. In addition, our shared services teams (Finance, Sales, ESG, Safety and People & Culture) are located across all of our sites as well as the Brisbane, Melbourne and Griffith offices.
