Our opportunity We have an opportunity for a Group HSE Manager – Major Hazard Standards to join our team for a 9 month contract . Location is flexible; you can be based in Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne. You will lead the review and refresh of Mirvac’s Minimum Requirements to prevent major hazard events across all lines of the business. Working collaboratively across the business and with 3rd parties, this role will redefine the major hazards and controls framework and introduce a fresh and contemporary approach that will represent a step change for the management of critical risk at Mirvac. Your responsibilities will include: Lead the review of Mirvac’s Minimum Requirements (MMRs) to help prevent major hazard events Write technical control requirements for Mirvac’s major hazard exposures Embed previous lessons learnt into the new MMRs and strengthen the overall control environment Bring a contemporary and user-centered approach to technical writing (for example, usability mapping) Lead business unit consultation process and finalization of technical content Lead the management of change related to Mirvac Group systems and procedure Establish implementation, embedding and compliance roadmap and process Establish metrics to measure the effectiveness of the new MMRs both in terms of usability and how the overall control environment has been strengthened Your point of difference To be successful you will have a demonstrated track record of delivering similar critical risk projects in construction, property, infrastructure or other similar high risk industry. You will be experienced with HSE management systems development, implementation and management aligned to recognised international standards. You will have a deep knowledge of health and safety legislation, codes and standards, coupled with the ability to simplify the complex and bring a contemporary approach to systems development and tailoring to meet end user needs. You will have strong stakeholder skills with the ability to align stakeholders and/or gain support for a decision where consensus was not possible.
