GROUP MANAGER – ASSET STRATEGY Location: Newcastle/Hybrid Industry: Underground Mining | Heavy Mobile Equipment | Fleet Management Lead Asset Strategy for a National Industry Leader We have a fantastic opportunity with a leading provider in underground mining equipment . This is a key leadership role , responsible for developing and implementing an asset strategy for all mobile assets within the underground fleet division. As Group Manager – Asset Strategy , you will play a pivotal role in shaping reliability and maintenance strategies , ensuring optimal fleet performance, and driving operational efficiency across the business. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement a comprehensive asset strategy to maximise fleet performance, availability, and lifecycle value Lead fleet planning, capital investment decisions, and maintenance optimisation to enhance operational efficiency Oversee reliability and risk management strategies , ensuring best-practice approaches across all mobile assets Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and finance teams to align asset strategies with business objectives Drive innovation and technology adoption , including predictive maintenance and digital asset management solutions Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and sustainability standards across all asset operations Manage key supplier relationships and procurement strategies to enhance asset performance and cost efficiency. About You: Extensive experience in asset management, fleet maintenance, or reliability leadership within the underground mining or heavy industry sectors A strategic mindset with a proven ability to influence, lead teams, and drive continuous improvement initiatives Strong commercial acumen, balancing operational needs and financial performance Experience with data analytics, asset performance monitoring, and digital transformation is highly regarded A degree in Engineering, Asset Management, or a related discipline is essential Why Join?
