In this leadership role, you’ll oversee and inspire the Operations team while coordinating school group tours, including educational, sports, and music trips. Leading by example, you will manage logistics, mentor your team, strengthen key relationships, and drive operational efficiencies to enhance service delivery. Your primary responsibilities include: Leading and motivating the Operations team to ensure alignment with the organisation’s values and high standards. Overseeing the coordination of student group tours, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of logistics, supplier negotiations, and risk management. Conducting weekly team meetings and one-on-one check-ins with team members, providing support and resolving operational challenges. Managing and enhancing internal systems such as Simplify to improve efficiencies and ensure team-wide consistency. Collaborating with sales teams to foster client relationships, encourage repeat business, and refine tour offerings. This is a pivotal role within the organisation where you’ll contribute to building a collaborative and high-performing team culture while driving continuous improvement in our operations processes. About You To succeed in this role, you’ll be a confident leader with a collaborative mindset and a passion for delivering exceptional group travel experiences. You’ll bring strong organisational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a customer-focused approach to every task. Key attributes and skills we’re looking for include: Proven leadership experience with a track record of mentoring and managing small teams. Strong organisational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage competing priorities. Experience in travel operations, travel coordination, event planning, logistics, or a related field is highly desirable. Ability to learn and master internal operational systems, particularly Simplify, ensuring consistency and efficiency across the team. A proactive and empathetic approach to leadership with a commitment to fostering a positive team culture. While experience in team leadership, educational travel, student tours, or group travel coordination or related is highly desirable, the most important aspect of this role is your ability to lead and mentor a team, act as the key link between departments, and foster a strong team culture .
