Job Description
Are you motivated by getting behind the wheel of one of our iconic red trucks to deliver for customers? As our HR Truck Driver (with Fork), you’ll be the face of our trusted business, at the heart of your community and connecting businesses with their customers, and communities with each other day-in, day-out. This role is based in our Perth Mail Centre on Boud Ave, Perth Airport. Full time on a fixed term initial 6 months period with potential for permanency, this role works Monday to Friday with some weekend work (paid at penalty rates). You will be working on a rotational basis between 3.15am – 1.30pm starts, as such flexibility is required. Overtime rates apply for any overtime worked along with daily tonnage allowances. You’ll be Completing your own daily vehicle safety check Safely loading your truck with cages for delivery Driving our modern trucks between our operational centres and customers, for deliveries and pick-ups Returning to our operational centres to unload pick-ups About you You’re friendly, enthusiastic and reliable, and love autonomy just as much as interacting with others and being a team player. You’re passionate about making a difference in the community. You’ll also need to Hold a HR or HC and forklift license Be safety-focused and understand the importance of chain of responsibility Have a customer-centric mindset and effective communication skills Meet our safe working load limit of weighing 120kgs or less Be fit enough to load and unload parcels of all different shapes, sizes and weights Provide a driving history report, undergo a pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol screening and national police checks.
