About the opportunity Are you motivated by getting behind the wheel of one of our iconic blue trucks to deliver for customers? As our MR/HR Truck Driver, you’ll be the face of our trusted business at Star Track Rockhampton, at the heart of your community and connecting businesses with their customers, and communities with each other day-in, day-out. This is a full-time permanent opportunity working Mon-Fri paying $31.26/hr + 12% super and overtime rates. You’ll be Freight Handling in a team environment Scanning your freight and safely loading your truck with freight for your deliveries Completing your own daily vehicle safety check Driving between our Rockhampton facility and our customers for deliveries and pick-ups Returning to our facility to unload pick-ups About you You’re a friendly, enthusiastic and reliable personality who loves autonomy just as much as interacting with others and being a team player. You’re passionate about making a difference in the community. You’ll also need to Hold a MR or above vehicle license, a fork license will also be valued though not essential Be fit enough to load and unload freight items of all different shapes, sizes and weights, frequently in and out of a truck (up to 30kg lifting) Be safety-focused and understand the importance of chain of responsibility Have a customer-centric mindset and effective communication skills You will need to meet our safe working load limit of weighing 120kgs or less (130kg if no fork license) Be prepared to provide a driving history report, undergo a pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol screening and national police checks.
