What you’ll deliver with us Our Head of Technology – P&C has accountability for the business technology platforms team for People and Culture. You will be defining and delivering the technology services which are needed to support the P&C business unit. This position will collaborate closely with business peers to bring the best of our technology capabilities, driving delivery of key change programs and bringing cost-effective innovation to benefit the business. This will be achieved by influencing technology decisions on a transformation agenda, including best fit products and implementing architecture/roadmaps for P&C programs of work. Reporting directly into the General Manager of Corporate Technology, you’ll be responsible for both Technology Change and Run of P&C services supporting the organisation, including business continuity, compliance, and security obligations. An important part of this role is ensuring continuous service improvement and operational efficiency of supply chain and/or third parties in delivering services specific to their platform/enabling service. This includes ensuring that the service is in line with the overall Technology strategy and that 3rd parties have been assessed and meet all minimum baseline security, legal and procurement requirements for P&C programs of work. You’ll also be accountable for Commercial performance including cost management, software and hardware costs, labour (including contract and consulting services) and any other financial metrics to the running of the technology platform in P&C programs of work. Ensure the core technology platforms have maximised uptime, throughput and response time utilising agreed baselined SLA’s. Long-term health of the platform including associated investment planning and delivery against plan in P&C programs of work. Demand and supply planning, feature requests and backlog planning related to the technology platform or enabling team in P&C. End-to-end technology delivery lifecycle services (plan, build, test, run), including projects, minor works and BAU changes that may involve more than one business platform. Capacity planning, software/hardware lifecycle management, technical debt remediation for the platforms and compliance. Facing into the technology function as well as the function particularly when delivering the HCM program. About you We are seeking a motivated individual with extensive people leadership experience, particularly of technology personnel within large and complex organisations. The key internal stakeholders are the P&C Executive General Managers and General Managers as well as the wider Technology Leadership Teams in our Enterprise Service unit. Externally you’ll collaborate with vendors, leveraging your experience with leading sourcing events for the provision of Services or Delivery work packages. You’ll also need Demonstrated experience working within a Technology function in a complex organisation with proven experience leading technology functions and delivering large technology transformation programs. Background working with strategic partners for the provision of Delivery and AMS services. Extensive experience in SAP including HCM, SuccessFactors, Payroll, emerging EC & ECP and understanding of UKG Workforce Dimensions. Exposure to various Delivery Models including traditional Waterfall and Agile methods. Familiarity with business transformation agendas, and leading teams local to the organisation and through strategic partnerships to achieve those outcomes. Product knowledge of People & Culture products and software, including the opportunity to yield the best business outcomes from those products, with a buy-over-build frame of reference.
