Head of Department - Industrial Design & Technology / Home Economics - Helensvale State High School Education (Organisation site)South East Region, Early Childhood and State Schools Division An exciting permanent opportunity exists for a motivated and dynamic educator to join the leadership team at Helensvale State High School.You will be a skilled instructional leader with strong organisational skills and expertise in Industrial Design Technology and Home Economics/Hospitality. You will lead curriculum in line with strategic vision and develop school planning, with a focus on quality teaching and learning for improved student achievements. About the School Located on the Northern Gold Coast, our school is in high demand with approximately 2000 students from year 7 to year 12. Our school strives to provide a personalised learning experience to create independent, future-ready, successful lifelong learners. About the Role An exciting opportunity exists for a result-driven, team-focused Head of Department of Design to lead the Industrial Design Technology and Home Economics/Hospitality teams at Helensvale State High School. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following activities: Lead the curriculum focus and school department in developing and committing to a shared vision focused on quality learning outcomes for all students. Embed socially just practices in daily school life. Set high standards for student and staff performance. Engage in lifelong learning and professional development. Build partnerships with students, parents, agencies, and community groups. Be future-oriented and strategic.
