An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated and dynamic educator to join the team at Biloela State High School, as Head of Department Mathematics. This position is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in Mathematics teaching, curriculum leadership, and a passion for supporting teachers in their professional growth. The position is permanent full-time, from Term 2, 2025.About The Role As the Head of Department Mathematics you will have responsibility for (but not limited to) the following: Lead the Mathematics faculty to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students. Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of V9 Australian Curriculum and Senior Mathematics syllabi. Embed socially just practices in daily school life. Set high standards for student and staff performance. Develop the quality of teaching and learning within your department. Nurture positive relationships between students, teachers and stakeholders. Manage student behaviour in the Mathematics faculty. Manage the human, financial and physical resources of the faculty. Interested?
