Head of Department - Student Services - Sandgate District State High School Education (Organisation site)Metropolitan North Region, School and Regional Operations and Performance Division An opportunity exists at Sandgate District State High School for a dynamic and dedicated Head of Department - Student Services.This is a temporary full-time role from 03 March 2025 until 12 December 2025, unless otherwise determined. About the Role The role has a focus on student data and student support, including: Enacting the school data plan; Tracking whole school and student data for all students using OneSchool, Track Ed, OARS; Proficiently using TrackEd and Microsoft Excel to interrogate and analyse data and patterns to provide staff with data literacy skills; Leadership and management of NAPLAN and PAT diagnostic testing and determining the appropriate support options for students diagnostic testing; Providing data reports and analysis of data to school leadership and teaching staff; Leadership of elements of pastoral care within the school's Connect program; Enhancing the school-wide processes of academic mentoring and determining future possibilities for academic coaching; Working with First Nations students to ensure equitable outcomes for all: Supporting students to celebrate culture through various school events; Case management of students as part of Student Services; Managing physical resources and a budget to ensure equitable delivery of resources; Forming new and continuing established partnerships with parents, other government agencies, and community groups.
