Head of Finance - Professional Services Company Background Our client is a well-established professional services business with an excellent reputation and continued growth plans. They are a medium-sized enterprise with over 150 staff and a presence across Australia and New Zealand, with plans to expand their market presence. As a business, they offer a hybrid working arrangement and strive to ensure a warm and collaborative environment for all staff. The Role Reporting into a talented CEO, your role as Head of Finance will involve: Managing, training, and mentoring a finance team of 7 Oversight of the finance function while being hands-on with reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis Partnering with non-finance stakeholders to understand performance Collaborating with the leadership team on growth and strategy, including modeling business opportunities Driving projects across a wide range of functions from systems to pricing and growth Documenting and formalizing processes Continuously searching for ways to automate and enhance processes Your Background To be considered for this Head of Finance opportunity, you must meet the following criteria: Professionally qualified as an Accountant (e.g. CA, ACA, CPA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) Relevant industry experience (e.g. Legal, Consulting, Professional Services) Track record of driving improvements and projects, including process efficiency and system implementation Experience in a medium-sized enterprise in a broad, hands-on finance role Strong communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to liaise with stakeholders, motivate your team, and build relationships Strong work ethic with exemplary attention to detail Those who have worked in similar capacities with experience in the aforementioned tasks are welcome to apply (e.g. Head of Finance, Finance Manager).
