Our commitment to making Sportsbet the best place to work is never-ending. About The Role Sportsbet’s Specialist Operations Function exists to drive excellence in operational business units. The Specialist Operations team includes Safer Gambling, Payments, Fraud, Operational Excellence and Anti-Money Laundering Operations. The Head of High Risk Operations role is primarily responsible for the Case Management team within Specialist Operations, leading and managing the strategic oversight of high risk customers. The role is responsible for ensuring high risk customers are effectively identified, assessed and managed in line with Sportsbet’s risk tolerance and regulatory obligations as well as playing a critical role in mitigating financial, reputational and operational risks that may be present. Furthermore, the role will pay a critical role in advancing the sustainability of the Sportsbet relationship with its customers and creating trust in Sportsbet and our industry. Responsibilities Include Lead the High Risk operations team Develop industry leading processes, policies and guidelines for the effective management of high risk customers Proactively provide expertise, leadership and guidance on high-risk customer management as it pertains to Anti Money Laundering and Safer Gambling and associated risks to Sportsbet Continuously improve the identification, assessment and management of high risk customers Secretary of the Sportsbet’s Customer Escalation Committee Foster a highly engaged, compliant and operationally efficient culture focused on continuous improvement Drive team member engagement through local, department and business wide initiatives About You Operational and leadership experience (at least 5 years) in operational AML/CTF or similar Proven experience in the development and optimization of processes, systems and capabilities with respect to AML/CTF and Fraud Proven experience in making customer centric and risk-based decisions from AML indicators and data (e.g. triggering due diligence, requesting source of wealth, customer exits) Demonstrated experience with case management software Engagement and response to Compliance, internal and Regulatory (e.g. AUSTRAC) audits A demonstrable track record working in high profiled and heavily regulated industries (e.g. financial services) You are able to connect operational and strategic outcomes through systems thinking Expertise in regulatory requirements across AML, Safer Gambling, Fraud, Privacy and other relevant areas You possess a strong attention to detail You are decisive when required but equally effective at facilitating collective decision making across a senior stakeholder group You value collaboration and encourage other’s expertise, efforts and ideas.
