About the role Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the efficient and effective operations of Laurent’s two manufacturing facilities for all things related to warehousing, logistics and planning. The role requires excellent organisational skills and understanding on leading a team. A strong ability to multitask, ensuring the efficient and safe movement of product through the warehouse, ensuring inventory is accurate, storage is optimised whilst always maintaining a safe and productive work environment. In order to maintain our exceptional product standards and continued smooth running of our factories, we are seeking a highly organised and motivated manager to lead our Warehouse and Planning teams. Key responsibilities will include: Overseeing warehouse operations, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations, goods tracking and stocktakes Ensuring effective fleet management including cleanliness and safety Oversee inventory control processes at the two manufacturing locations, including receiving, picking, packing, and shipping. Ensure accurate inventory counts and timely replenishment Collaborate with internal departments, suppliers and vendors to optimize supply chain efficiency and maintain positive relationships Purchasing of ad hoc materials for the site In-depth understanding of stock management, including monthly stock takes, FIFO procedures, and logistics coordination Familiarity with HACCP standards and warehouse safety practices Management of multiple 3PL’s to ensure great service levels Qualifications and Skills: Strong technical knowledge in warehouse management systems Proven experience in logistics and operations environment Knowledge of planning processes Previous experience with ERP preferred Demonstrated ability to lead a team Continuous improvement mindset and actively seeking to improve warehouse operations and enhance efficiency Exceptional communications skills, both verbal and written Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment Proficient in computer systems, including Microsoft office software, databases, and inventory management software Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment Ability to meet deadlines and time management skills This role is pivotal in providing all our cafés and customers with the bread and pastries that has made Laurent Bakery famous, Australian wide.
