The Role Step into a pivotal leadership role as Head of Risk Management and Compliance, where you'll shape the future of our firm's operational excellence. As a key member of the Legal Excellence team, you'll drive the implementation and maintenance of quality management, risk management, and compliance systems, all aligned with our forward-thinking ESG strategy. Your influence will extend across critical areas, including client intake, data governance, and ensuring seamless compliance processes that protect and elevate the firm. Key duties will include: Lead the implementation and maintenance of quality and risk management systems aligned with ISO9001 and ISO31000 Oversee governance, risk, and compliance matters, including privacy, data protection, and cyber security response plans Advise on procurement, client agreements, and legal services contracts while managing registry services and entity establishment functions Develop and update policies, conduct internal audits, and ensure compliance with legal profession regulations and client requirements Lead the Risk Management and Compliance team to uphold excellence across quality, risk, and compliance frameworks Experience We are looking for a visionary leader with deep expertise in private law firm operations to join us as Head of Risk Management and Compliance. With at least 10 years of experience as a qualified lawyer or in a practice support or corporate risk role, you will bring a proven track record in regulatory compliance, quality management, and risk management. Your strategic mindset and leadership skills will drive firm-wide initiatives that align with legislative requirements and organisational goals. Exceptional at building relationships, communicating effectively, and managing projects, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our firm’s future while inspiring and driving meaningful change.
