Description: Key responsibilities include: Champion critical risk management and incident management to minimise workplace incidents and enhance resilience. Utilise data for decision-making and adopt innovative approaches to improve safety outcomes. Leverage technology and methodologies to advance safety and wellbeing organisation-wide. Develop and implement leading safety practices, continuously updating policies to reflect regulatory changes and industry advancements. Develop strategies and manage processes to prevent and minimise workplace fatality, injury, disease, and ill health. Implement frameworks, initiatives, and processes that underpin the effective management of incidents or injuries in the workplace and the rehabilitation of injured workers consistent with applicable policy and guidelines. Commit to continuous learning from incidents and adapting strategies for safety enhancement. Engage senior managers, clients, and partners to align safety objectives, enhancing organisational leadership in health and safety and fostering a collaborative safety culture. Mentor future leaders, developing safety leadership skills within the organisation. Drive behavioural safety and cultural transformation for improved business performance. Oversee the management of quality and compliance frameworks, ensuring standards are defined, training is conducted, and policies are well documented, and an assurance program is implemented and managed to confirm conformance. Skills and Experiences: You’ll be an ideal candidate for this role if you have… Strong expertise in the safety principles, practices, and procedures in aviation or comparable industries. Sound knowledge of the Australian Health & Safety legislation and its application in workplaces around Australia. Experience leading or supporting a program of work to affect transformational change/continuous improvement across an organisation. A demonstrated track record of creating strategies and designing interventions/initiatives that assess risk and support organisations in the mitigation and management of safety hazards in the workplace. Skill in identifying emerging safety trends and integrating innovative solutions. Strong leadership skills to inspire and guide teams towards a culture of safety excellence. Ability to influence organisational culture and drive behavioural change across all levels. Expertise in risk management, critical incident management, and safety compliance. Proficiency in using data to inform decision-making and improve safety outcomes.
