Recruitment Consultant | Business Support | Permanent Division | Associations, Education & NFP Head of Marketing & Sales Sydney CBD Fixed Term Contract (3 – 6m) – Full Time Salary: Up to $150,000 + Super (Dependent on experience) Hybrid (In-office & WFH) Cox Purtell is currently working with a national membership association operating throughout Australia. They have branches in every state and territory, and they exist to advocate for their community of members/professionals and drive better practice in all organisations. They’re now looking to hire a committed and motivated Head of Marketing & Sales responsible for raising the profile of the Association via a broad range of media channels, and for developing and delivering the Association’s marketing and sales strategy and plans, including activities across brand, digital and traditional marketing. The successful candidate will be an experienced, hands-on leader – with a background in Sales, and ideally Marketing too, passionate about people leadership, the successful candidate will implement process improvement and develop a high-performing team across the marketing and sales functions. Main areas of responsibility include: Develop marketing and sales strategies to effectively deliver growth and engagement across products and services, in line with brand strategy. Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team across the marketing and sales functions, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration while achieving growth objectives. Lead digital media efforts, social media strategy and online advertising campaigns. Monitor and analyse digital metrics to ensure the effectiveness of marketing efforts. Oversee the design and implementation of best-in-class digital marketing strategies based on data and insights to drive new member growth. Develop and oversee a comprehensive sales strategy to drive membership growth. Develop a data-driven understanding of the student/customer/member market and integrate market insights into strategy. Develop and manage the sales budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources to maximise revenue generation and return on investment. Assess the current sales structure, processes, and systems, and implement necessary changes to optimize efficiency, productivity, and performance. Your Profile: Tertiary qualification in Marketing, Business, or a related field. At least 10 years’ experience in senior marketing/communications roles. Understanding of professional associations or education provider sectors is beneficial but not essential. Demonstrated success in developing and executing marketing strategies that drive growth, sales, and customer engagement. Strong leadership skills to inspire, mentor, and build high-performing teams, fostering collaboration and innovation. Demonstrated experience utilising data-driven insights for decision-making and optimising marketing campaigns. In-depth knowledge of both traditional and digital marketing channels, including social media, content marketing, and paid advertising. Experience in managing agency relationships and external partnerships for successful campaign execution. Proficiency in CRM systems, marketing automation, and data analytics tools.
